One of my favorite things to do for the holidays is decorating; picking out a tree, hanging lights, putting up stockings, and the list goes on! It became especially fun once Justin and I moved into our first home last year, and some might say I went a little overboard (AKA my husband, haha). Christmas decorations have a special way of making everything feel extra cozy and happy.
So this year when some local bloggers and I were invited to a wreath workshop at Springhouse Gardens / The Barn at Springhouse, I didn't hesitate to say yes! I'll just go ahead and tattle on myself now... I'm TERRIBLE with anything DIY- it's just not my forte. I was a bit nervous of holding up my wreath and it immediately falling apart, or putting it next to someone else's and it being very obvious that mine was the "ugly one."
I'm happy to say that with a short, but thorough tutorial from the owners of Springhouse Gardens, not only is my wreath still in one piece, alive and kickin', but it's also a beauty!! They provide everything from boxwood and juniper, to red holly berries and magnolia to fill up the wreaths exactly how you want it. They give the best tips and tricks to ensure your wreath won't fall apart and will last throughout the holiday season. I'm a chronic plant killer, so I need all of the tips I can get :)
Springhouse Gardens has the cutest, and most festive setup for the season and believe me, you won't want to leave once it's over; the grounds and the barn are so beautiful. If you're looking for something fun and festive to do with family or friends, it's the perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening to get into the holiday spirit! The owners are some of the most kind and generous people, and I'm so happy that they invited us out to their beautiful property!
If you're local the Lexington area, I highly recommend signing up for one of their workshops this season! Click Here to get to the Springhouse Gardens website to register!
