Happy Monday, everyone! I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is this week! Where did November go? I wanted to include some of my favorite desserts in my holiday content this year, like the easy layer bars recipe I shared a couple of weeks ago. These desserts are staples for my family and are always at our kitchen table for Thanksgiving and Christmas! So instead of running to the store for a frozen pie or box of cookies, spend a few extra minutes to whip up one of these desserts to bring to your event!
This easy pecan pie recipe will surely win over the hearts and stomachs of party guests! My mom makes this every year for the holidays, and I swear it's gobbled up the fastest! I didn't know this until she told me, but this recipe is from label of the Karo syrup bottle- just in case you want to just read it off of there instead :) See below for all of the details!
1 cup Karo syrup (light or dark, I used light)
3 eggs (slightly beaten)
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine (let cool)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 & 1/4 cup pecans (6 oz bag)
1 (9 inch) unbaked deep dish pie crush (I used the Pillsbury pre-made crust)
Step 1: Mix 1 cup Karo syrup, 3 eggs, 1 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons melted (and cooled) butter or margarine, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extra into a large bowl.
Step 2: Add 1 & 1/4 cups of pecans into above mixture.
Step 3: Place crust in pie pan. If you use the Pillsbury pre-made crust, let it sit out of the fridge for about 15 minutes before you unroll it (it will unroll easier).
Step 4: Pour filling mixture into pie crust and bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.
