Happy Friday! Justin and I got back from our Park City ski trip this week, so I've been trying to get back in the swing of reality for a couple of days. Our trip didn't exactly get off to the right start; due to some plane maintenance issues, we ended up having to fly out a day later and missed an entire day in Park City- we made the most of it though!
Since we didn't get into Park City until late afternoon, we chalked skiing up as a loss for the day and decided to hang in with our friends and eventually made our way in the hot tub. On Sunday we headed over to Park City Mountain Resort for our first day of skiing (snowboarding for Justin). Breaking News: I am not a skier- haha. My morning mostly consisted of falling down- more than I'd like to admit- and watching little 5 year old children zoom past me on their skis. I eventually got better and successfully made it down a few runs. I somehow let our friends talk me into a run that I was definitely not ready for. End result: tumbling down a mountain with Justin picking up my skis and poles the whole way down (I'm laughing just visualizing the whole scene).
Apparently if you fall enough times in skis, your body starts to hurt pretty bad, so on Monday I decided to hang in to take care of some blog work and soak my aching bones and muscles in the hot tub :) We made our way over to Wasatch Brew Pub, a local brewery and restaurant in Park City. The entire town was so picturesque with snow covered mountains in every direction. The city was super clean and seemed brand new- all the buildings and houses were so pretty and rustic. The downtown portion of Park City is ridiculously cute with plenty of shops and eateries; at night the streets are all lit up- it looks like something you'd see in a snow globe.
As for my Park City looks, it was basically anything that I could bundle up in! For the airport, my first priority is comfort. Between the actual flight and layovers, it was close to 6 hours of travel, so comfort is key. Stretchy black jeans, a cozy sweater, comfortable boots, and a fuzzy blanket scarf was the perfect combo. I decided on this all white, neutral look for our night out downtown. Wearing white is officially acceptable outside of summer months now, and I'm pretty happy about it- the key is how you style your whites. I paired the look with this cardigan coat that I found on sale and thought it'd be great for transitioning into spring; it still gives this look a winter feel, which is what you need when wearing white. My white jeans are super flattering and perfect for heading into spring! My white top is a great staple for your closet and comes in various colors (be sure to size up for a loose fit). You can shop all of the pieces from my looks with the links provided and with the images below! P.S. Most of these items are on major sale TODAY (Friday 2/17/17), so check everything out!
We had such a nice, relaxing time while we were there and it's definitely a must-visit if you're looking to hit the slopes and/or explore a new place! Have any of you ever been to Park City before? Where are your next travels? Leave me a comment and let me know!
